however X31 for a set is a lot of dosh and you could probably but one of the excellent pewter sets for less

I would like to see the chess board that can fit 62-64 pieces on and still move??
Maybe each of the 'specials' are specially engraved squares for your figures to play on??

I think the addition of extra figures is so that you have interchangable pieces you can play, as for the special editions, there is actually a questionaire on their own site asking what you would prefer to see..

Quote:
7. If you were able to buy and collect special edition The Lord of the
Rings™ lead figurines, which of the following Beasts of Middle-Earth
and Creatures of Middle-Earth characters would most appeal to you?

The options are...
Mumakil
Shelob
Armoured Cave Troll
Fellbeast
Ent
Shadowfax
Brego

Looks brilliant Brian, very nice work. I particularly like the metal work, the breastplate with decoration looks very clean and neat.

Yeah, as menace asked, why are you not in the competition? Conflict of interest? I noticed that Dag is missing as well. :( Oh well.

Again, looks great. What's up next?

Cheers and thanks for sharing.

Well done Brian! Looks way much better than the original paintjob!

Have you decided to collect all of them, or will you just stay with this Aragorn only?

;)

Thanx Guys, no Bart, I have signed up for the lot !

Already have the second one which I was a bit disappointed with. Its 'Gothmog'. He looks slightly undersized to Aragorn, not sure if this is deliberate with him being a 'Bishop' and Aragorn being the 'King' piece ?

Hi, the paint job makes the model look much better. myyounger cousin bought a pack of Lotr Hexes after seeing my collection of models, they looked like they were painted by an elephant with a cold after having paint shoved up its trunk. however if i can paint them to look anything like the aragorn he will be over he moon. Very nice job.

i knew it! you are a master speed painter!

your gothmog looks very good compared to the original one.

hey, you could donate your second gothmog as a prize for some OR award (but if fate has its way again you might be the one to win it :D)

which chess figure is next?
