Hello fellow hobbyists,

Is there any chance that any of you have saved the images from Feanor's "Of Rocks and Mithril" Dwarven Mine? Here's a link to the old topic on TLA (all the image links are broken): http://www.thelastalliance.com/viewtopi ... =16&t=4687

It was an amazing board and it's a shame I can't seem to find any photos of it online.

Thanks!

Do a search in Google like this:

site:thelastalliance.com feanor rocks and mithril

Under the images tab you will get thumbnails of some of the pictures, clicking on them will enlarge the image but it will be slightly blurred as the link no longer exists.

I have to say this is a rather flattering thread for me..

Anyway, yes! I have some pictures of my mines in my gallery gallery/album.php?album_id=227.
A more elaborate showcase can be found here, however: https://hdrskirmisher.wordpress.com/201 ... -showcase/

If you have any question, feel free to ask!

I have to admit that I have not worked on the board since the last pictures. I have added a few removable tiny pieces (a golden hoard, a table, two racks with barrels), but nothing else. I have many other projects, but it's always been tempting to continue..

I followed the link and found a whole bunch of cool stuff I'd never seen before, so thanks very much Feanor! Unfortunately, I can't read the magazines. Does anyone know how to translate it from German? (If it was French, I'd be okay. ) Also, what happened to the site? It kind of just stopped. Very sad.

Awesome, thanks so much Feanor! I'm glad you're still around 8)

Yeah your project is one of those things that once I saw it, it's been categorized in my long-term memory as something to remember. You do such amazing work!

I'm currently putting together my own take on a dwarven/goblin mine board and your project is perfect for inspiration!

You're most welcome! I'm afraid I don't have time to translate it to German, but I wrote some articles for it in English, and someone translated it to German. I can upload those somewhere.
As to what happened, I guess people kind of lost interest in the site (probably the same shift from forums to social media that we are seeing here).

Happy to help and inspire people, even so many years later! Really, this is one of the biggest compliments someone can get for their work, so thank you! :)

Please keep us up to date in the WIP forum, I'm curious to see your progress.
