Taking inspiration from http://xinslair.blogspot.com/2014/08/ma ... kers.html; I bought a Galadrial Monopoly piece off of Ebay, and for the base I went to the hardware store and bought two fender washers and a large nut for a dollar. Stippled some liquid green stuff onto the metal for texture, primed and started doing some dry brushing.

Raided my wife's bead/charm stash and found the jewel to put on front.

Still needs some more dry brushing but it is coming along.

The blog I linked to is an excellent blog, he makes game boards for conventions that are outstanding.

The building is just primed at this point, and I agree that the statue is too white. When I take a picture of what I'm doing I see all kinds of problems with it - will add some grey and some weathering to it to dull it down.

How did you do the dome structure? Did you use found materials/purchased pieces or is it scratchbuilt? It looks well suited for the Elves.

TheEggman - the building was a throw-away from my mother in law as part of her christmas village collection.

That looks perfect for an Elven structure! Nice find!
