Hello,
I am relatively new to the game, I know the rules and played a few games and
am thinking about getting into the game seriously and for that I require an army.

In terms of army I prefer heavy infantry and generally infantry based armies.
P.S.: I also would like evil more.

Welcome Alarax,

there are plenty of evil heavy infantry armies, the most obvious ones being either Isengard or Azog’s Legion.

Of the 2, Isengard is probably best for a relatively new player as the main core troops are available in plastic. There are also a good range of elite troops available too.

Azog’s Legion probably isn’t quite as friendly to a newer player but if you like lots of big monsters it might be the way to go.

Hope that helps a little.

Isengard is definitely your best bet. Cheap plastics, regularly going for next to nothing on eBay while Gundabad orcs sell for $40 Australian for 3 dudes. Isengard's infantry is pretty much the heaviest stuff available for your general evil army and is rightly feared across the board. Strength 4, defence 5/6, fight 4 and even a decent courage for an evil army. The only downside is no real powerhouse heroes but that's not such a big deal given that your basic infantry is beefy.

Isengard can even shoot, with their crossbowmen piercing armour left, right and centre. They are one of only 2 factions to have access to crossbows. Absolutely your best bet, if you want a YouTube video I suggest the DCHL how to play and buy Isengard
