To celebrate the release of the new Thorin's Company Junes painting challenge is any member from any of the releases of Thorin and his company, including Bilbo. To open the entries any Hobbit figure or Dwarf Hero many be entered.

*This will be a single miniature challenge.

1. To enter the painting challenge, the miniature you are painting must not be painted before starting and picture proof must be shown of the miniature 'pre-painted' (unprimed, undercoated or if you are repainting and old miniature - in its' original paint scheme) otherwise your entry will not be eligible.

2. You may join the painting challenge in progress at any time, but must submit photographs of the completed miniature by midnight GMT of May 31st 2017. WIP images are welcomed and encouraged. A maximum of 4 photos of your completed entries please, this allows you to show your miniatures off from front, back and each side which is more than enough. If you would like to compile more than four pictures into one file it is ok to do that

Pictures of completed models must be submit using a third party hosting site such as photobucket or imageshack. Pictures submit by attachment will not be eligible for the vote. Any problems PM me.

3. Miniatures that are completed in time will be eligible to win the challenge. The challenge winner will be decided by the vote of the OR community. The community will choose one winner and one runner-up from the completed miniatures. Votes should be cast not simply on painting skill, but on merit, including creativity, application of painting techniques, artist improvement, etc. There is no prize available for the winners of this challenge, the challenge is solely for community participation and as an incentive for people to reduce their backlog and improve their painting skills.

4. With the introduction of The League Winners from the previous month are now eligible to enter and win consecutive challenges without penalty.

Good luck and have fun!

This is an old photo, but it is still unpainted. Should I submit a newer one? Is this model acceptable? It is Bilbo...

I'm hoping I'm not too late to enter! I was lucky enough to get my hands on the new Thorins company at warhammer fest but I've only just got round to painting them. Found it difficult to choose from all the sculpts so went for my favourite dwarf in the film. Here's the undercoated version:

Hoping I can complete it by the deadline!

Admittedly, I've got a long way to match some of the talent on this site but I'm quite happy with the result!

Nice entries so far, Good gob on Dwalin's tattoos!

Here's Bifur, I just love the Thorin's Company set. And Bifur was a surprisingly fun one to paint, lots of different brown hues.
