Is it me, or does Radagast look huge/the eagle look really small in that photo. Either way, the scale is quite awkward. He also looks like he's sat on the toilet, at least sculpt him so he looks like he's riding the beast!

I'm very impressed with all three members of the White Council though. But seeing as I have the recent finecast Elrond from AUJ, and used to have Galadriel Protectress of Lothlorien, I can't justify breaking the bank for all three miniatures. It's a shame they weren't sold in individual clampacks, because I'd definitely buy the new Saruman. In my opinion, this is definitely the best Saruman sculpt we've ever had.

Huge fan of the new White Council models. The paint jobs leave little to be desired, but that Saruman looks absolutely amazing and I'm sure once I see Elrond in person, that pose will look a lot better and dynamic.

Not too sure I like the Radagast on Eagle, however. I'm sure a simple conversion could look better.

I would have loved to see a fallen Gandalf released along with the rest of the white council. Having the possibility of making a diorama would have been nice, but without a fallen Gandalf it's not so easy.

And hopefully they release the necromancer and the ringwraiths to go along with these...

I feel like we probably won't get a Necromancer model, because the Necromancer in DoS is probably too insubstantial to make a model of, and in BoFA he was the same Sauron we know and love from LoTR.

... though should they make another Sauron model I'd hardly be complain.

The Wraiths on the other hand I'd rather not have, simple because I think the film should have stuck with the original twilight wraith concept from FoTR and AUJ.

A caged Gandalf would've bee awesome, but I doubt we'd see that because it's hardly more than an objective marker in gaming terms.

I'd like to hope for more new profiles for the Wraiths and the Necromancer etc. but the fact that there's no new profiles in the BOFA book implies that there won't be. As I understand the licensing agreements, they can't just release new Hobbit SBG models (i.e. for the Ringwraiths) and then tell you to use the LOTR SBG profiles, if there were to be new Ringwraith models there would have to be new Ringwraith profiles (as we've seen for Gandalf, White Council, Legolas, Thranduil etc.).

Also, in some duel good and bad news, there's a new scenario in this week's White Dwarf where the White Council have to rescue Gandalf. It's the 5 good guys against the Necromancer and 9 wraiths and they're all the LOTR profiles in the scenario and LOTR models in the pictures.

Of course, none of this precludes them from releasing another supplement or White Dwarf rules alongside the models further down the line but I just don't believe they're imminent.

Galradreil is the only one of the new releases that looks good.
Is radagasts eagle the one from unexpected journey set because it look very simalar.

Well it's Finecast so it's not exactly the same but it does look remarkably similar. Radagast's torso is also very similar to the Radagast on sleigh model so I wouldn't be surprised if they used that for a base. It's a very uninspiring sculpt IMO.

Love the new Elrond and Saruman though. Galadriel looks like she needs a good meal and a bed for the night.

After the fight she gave she kinda does

When I saw Saruman with some kick ass moves in the movie I started hoping for a really dynamic model.

Will easily be able to pass on these. I think they are good representation models for what they are, Just have all of these characters. Rad is cool, but not going to see enough use for buying and isn't needed to have awesome eagles ride into battle.

Now all the nervous waiting starts...Will there be another release? That is what we all want to know. So, So much not released for the last film.

I want them both. Normally I was going to wait but after reading the scenario in the WD, I preordered the 'The White Council- Vanquishers of the Necromancer of Dol Guldur' ;-)

On of my current projects is Radagast on Sleigh...

Hi, where did you preorder them? They are not even on the GW website. Or are they only not yet on the German website?

Off topic: Is it difficult to assemble and paint Radagast on sleigh?
