Totally agree - the sculpts really are excellent! Top job on that front 8) My only problem is the atrocious paint jobs - Kili and Thorin in particular are very much below par. The faces especially have next-to-no expression accentuated. Kili's (as Adanedhel pointed out) looks like it's just a flat colour. I would expect more from the 'Eavy Metal Team...

However, I can't really fault GW here - the minis themselves look superb, great sculpts and I'm looking forward to getting my hands on them  Christmas maybe... :D

Yes, they look great outside of the sloppy paint jobs.
Works out to $13.50 per model so its not that bad, just alot to buy 14 character models at once.

Think what a mounted company would run. $300?

I love thorin, others are nice, would prob be willing to pick them off slowly, but the Oz prices are just too painful to think about the cost of the full set

Holy Devlan Mud! I just looked at GW's website and somehow I got taken to the Australian site. $330 AUD? And I thought $190 USD was a lot.

I'm sorry for you guys down there. That's just not fair.

I have to agree on a few of the paintjobs, Kili like you said does look very flat. The rest of him is very good, I just think the GW paintjobs sometimes ruin them.
