......at least that's what we're calling it over here.

massive snow storm over Buffalo NY. our city is right on the edge of lake Erie so moisture from the lake intensifies the snow, but this storm has been staying towards the south part of the city (where I live) and the southern suburbs

This happens at least once a year but later in the winter before the lake freezes over

this is outside my house a few hours ago (it's not stopped yet!)



there are cars under the mounds of snow



this is about 116 CM

so I have a chance to work on my diorama until we can dig ourselves out

.......... our city also got new snow plows

Ha yeah irony would be running out of glue or primer.
we got another 2 feet (60cm) of snow over night with some more expected tonight/early morning.
they have shipped in the national guard engineers with heavy equipment to assist with snow removal and emergency services, but I doubt I'll make it to work this week

Sometimes I could do with being snowed in, a week off work and nothing. It painting would suit me down to the ground.

It all looks a bit bonkers - there was a photo of some guy driving an SUV down a road with all the snow still on the roof of the vehicle - all 3 feet plus of it!

yeah it's pretty crazy still. it's been all over national news here, I'm still stuck in my house, I cleared a path to the road but they haven't plowed it yet! now they are reporting flat roofs are starting to collapse

luckily we are suppose to have warmer weather this weekend so it'll start to melt.
