Hey all, I'm just wondering how to get a good mottled Orc skin effect. Fimbul's flesh seems to be dark green mottled with yellow-brown spots, but I'm unsure how to achieve this in miniature form. Any advice would be great, thanks in advance!

My advice (because I literally just had to do this today) is to lay down the "dominant" color first, whichever you will see most of. Then thin down layers of the second color and get the amount of paint on the brush as you use for a dry-brush and gently apply it to the skin. I use more of a stippling motion for this than a traditional brush across. If you build slowly you get a nice effect where both colors are visible and the appearance does look mottled.

I hope that makes sense, if not I can try to elaborate further.

Sounds good. That's kind of what I was leaning towards doing anyway. Thanks, James! :)
