On a more serious note, there are two reasons:

1. It is funny. No further explanation for this needed.

2. I feel sorry for the poor innoscent Freys who often fall victim to bloodthirsty fans as they are treated the same as their slightly less kindly family members.

Arguably? I argue against that. The Freys are, for the most part, largely misunderstood, whilst the Ironborn are almsot all evil. Even their good guys are villains. What did Olyvar Frey ever do, or poor Roslin Frey?

I must admit, I quite admire the few Freys who fought with King Robb for remaining loyal to him when the rest of their family are treacherous curs. Stevron Frey fought for Robb and died at Oxcross. The Freys kept Olyvar away from the RW because he was too loyal to Robb.

Hang Lord Walder and all the Freys who participated in the RW, and put Olyvar Frey in charge, and THEN you can call me a Frey fan.
