Yeah once base coated the difference between the plastic will stand less out. I have that feeling to when i start mixing up different colours of clays,.. Wonderfull sculpting! I need some more practice! :)

The conversions and sculpts are excellent. And it would be great to see these painted up later (after the competition is over).
I suppose that is one of the joys of the evil side - they come in all shapes and sizes and make use of whatever comes to hand so their clothing, armour and weapons are often a mishmash.

Most definitely Dorthonion :)

So I left his back the way it is and moved onto one of his arms...

Not too far to go now, just the other arm and perhaps one or two finishing details and he should be done.

Progress update: feel like I'm spamming this space, someone else post! :) I only need to re-sculpt the nails on his hand and I'm done, I think.

Sid: the back was tricky because the more GS I put on the straighter it got

RidersOfTheMark: lookin good so far 8)

RangeroftheNorth: He's lookin good too, i like what you've done. I wouldn't have the courage to cut up a new mini like that, fair play to ya.

Well that's high praise, thank you, but, opposite of yourself, I didn't have the guts to build one from scratch.
Cheers,
Tim

DomyHill - good luck :) I guess youll go 4 some conversion?

UKFB - for me FIMO is much better. Baking aint a problem and for such a low motivation person as me doing sculpt in a day is pretty much only way. Putting in over, 30 minutes, ding and I can go back to work. With GS it takes something about 3-6h breakes, and even more if I wont to cut it smoothly.

And here, next photos, one more baking and we're ready.

As us see I also started another fellow, this on gonna be shaman.

doesnt fimo shrink when baked?
thats why i have never tried fimo before.
but it is looking good

I'm a bit late to the party... but working on a warbad of Blackshields converting from regular gobbos. Not the most exciting conversions in the world, but may as well put them up! Will post proofs and WIPs soon.

Wow, some awesome entries already! There's some really exiting and original stuff!

Anyway, over the past few weekends, I've done some work on my Great Goblin sculpt. The big bulb of GS which I posted as my first WIP pic, is starting to take shape!

Image

I also like that as he's taking shape in Green, he's also taking shape in my imagination.

The Great Goblin will be pointing at the Dwarves with his right arm, while his left arm will be on his upper leg (that's why you see the weird indent in the left pic). He will get a large head and a fur cloack too.
Hope I'll be able to finish him! It's gonna be a challenge, because finals are coming up..
