Who to choose ?

I would like a few ideas on which magic caster to include in my gondor army, we usually play 750 point games and I play against mordor and moria.
Does anyone else have a gondor army with spell casters if so please share your thoughts , thanks

well you are playing one of the armies who dont have their own spellcasters and most allies dont come cheap. Basic galadriel is probably the best if you are on a budget. She has blinding light, command, compel and one other. Only downside is she is unarmed and thus suffers in combat. Gandalf the grey and saruman are also good options but are more expensive by 20-70pts.

Another option is a stormcaller but I find their magic to be limited when on their own. even with their special rule they still run out of will pretty fast.

The most appropriate narrative wise, would be Gandalf the Grey. Gandalf, known as Mithrandir in Gondor was a frequent visitor to Minas Tirith due to the extensive libraries there.

I'd say gandalf white or grey if you want theme. If you're not bothered about theme then I'd say Saruman all the way. He is fun, really fun to play. plenty of scorcerous blasts and a couple of tranfixes should mess armies up real quick.

Thematically, Saruman works as well as Gandalf. Denethor mentioned that Saruman visited Minas Tirith quite often to study in the library. He was also allowed to use Orthanc as his abode because he was on such good terms with Gondor. Considering that he is 20 pts cheaper than Gandalf the Grey and 70 pts cheaper than Gandalf the White, with a 4+ Sorcerous Blast, I would go for him over Gandalf.
