I've been thinking about wich army I'd use for my next tourney, and I thought:'Let's give my Minas Morgul army another try'. So, that one contains Morannon orcs, BNs, Morgul Knights and BG of Barad Dur, some heroes, and my dear Cave Drake. Are there any changes in the new rulebook to these (I suppose the BG drummers are heroes for example)?

I actually like the Mordor book, The full rules for all the individual ringwraith are also in it. The Undying is pretty nasty, as is the Orc special character wizard is cool too. ~Brian

Black Guard and Morannons can no longer take horns, and the Cave Drake is now a hero, although I can't remember how much M/W/F (I think it's the same as the Wild Warg Chieftain)

Okay, thank you, still not sure if it will be my High Elves, my Minas Morgul warriors, or my dwarves I'll take to the tournament next month

Neither can anything else in the NM=Mordor Army except for Black Numenoreans and Morgul Knights.

And you right about the Cave Drakes M/W/F, though it has always been a hero.

But, for my next tournament, wich army should i choose? Most of the players there are playing with the tactic of getting as many troops fielded as you can, games are 750 points, and there are pretty much Harad armies, that's why I didn't mention my Wood Elf army. But, anyways, what should I choose? My Minas Morgul army(mentioned in earlier), my High Elf army, or my elite Dwarf Army(many Iron Guards and Khazad Guards)

Don't use High eLves unless you are pretty ,uch guaranteed to be fighting a Fight 4 army, refereably one hat is Strength 3) eg Black Numenoreans. A Dwardf army could well be good, as they are nigh impossible to defeat, especially Durin, though harad with their poison can oftten get lucky. As for Minas Morgul, that depends what troops you mean, BNs, MKs, Morannons, Orcs, Morgul Stalkers, Spectres, Wraiths, etc?

As one of the people participating told me that dwarves are little idiots, I feel it my duty to show him real power, with around 3 full warbands of Vault Wardens, Iron Guards, Khazad Guards and Warrior Archers. For Minas Morgul, everything you mentioned, but with a Cave Drake, and some Black Guards.

Goood luck then! 8) though I don't recommend the Vault Wardens.

May I ask how did the Cave Drake find its way into Minas Morgul? was he the W-K's second favourite pet (after his Fell BEast of course)/

Ever played things like the high ground with a hill that only as a few small passages? Then Vault Wardens come handy! But, I agree, as many scenarios I play are with small passages, that in open fields, they won't be that good. For the Cave Drake, I use him as some sort of wingless fell beast(made him look like that by changing his head, but giving the fell beast his awesome antennes of course, that has got it's wings cut of by a king of Gondor long time ago. Now, he's the oldest and wisest Fell Beast of Mordor, guarding Minas Morgul when the Witch King is winning a war.

Interesting theme, but I think a Wise Cave Drake is just as plausable as a wise Troll. Only use Vault Wardens if you're sure. It's a pity they're the only Dwarves with spears as the Dwarves in the film certainly had them.

If it's being a wingless Fell Beast, maybe it could be like the Queen Fell Beast, I think that sounds cool.

When did they show dwarves with spears in the films?

All over moria, the troll uses one to stab frodo and boromir&leggy use some to seal the door up in balin's tomb.

I think it safe to assume that the only ones in the movie who had spears were vault wardens. It's not that often that someone would use a spear of that size without being specially trained. Besides, in the book it was a goblins chieftain with his own spear, not a troll with a dwarf spear.

Not a goblin chieftain if I'm not mistaken, wasn't it an Uruk ?

See. Other dwarves had them, Vaukt Wardens were GW's attempt to cover up the fact that they had forgotten about dwarf spearmen.
