Hey all,

It appears that under the new rules Elladan and Elrohir can only wield a sword in both hands when on foot. Just clarifying... this wasn't the case in the old rules was it? And do you think it's still worth taking the twins on horse now if they only have 2 attacks?

Have you read the ORB or used them prior to the new supplements? If you had then you would know the answer, its straight forward.

It is the same, and yes the cav. bonus on the charge balances it out.

Yes, in fact I have. And it would appear that before (at least according to their profile in the RotK Journeybook), they could wield 2 swords, thus gaining 3 attacks (4 on the charge) even when mounted. I was just clarifying that this was the same as in the ORB. If so, their rules have changed, making them less powerful on horseback.

They are less powerful on horseback, but they are such a good deal they're still worth it.

Yes, they are beasts in combat, but I find that it's their might store that's the big win. 6 might for so few points is superb, and it's not like they're gonna get killed before they use them as the twins are quite survivable.

The horses are still good though. On the charge you get the 3 attacks plus knock down so its still good. Plus all the extra mobility the horse gives you. For what they cost I look at it like they dont lose much for what they get
