No one noticed the basic troops are as double expensive.
Now you pay € 17.50 for 12 guys!!

P.s. there's always eBay, I am sure you could pick up some cheap figures on there.

I'm yet to try 'finecast', suppose the new releases will be a good chance too, may have to wait a few months till they go for a bit cheaper on ebay,
the books are £12 inc. postage on wayland games which isnt bad, may get mordor just to get all the wraiths in on place!

A slightly related point, GW have put Dragon and Cave Drake in the new Mordor section which makes little sense, even less sense then putting Isengard with the Fallen Realms.

Also, there are now 3 different prices to plastic cavalry (until GW become even more evil); (UK versions), £16.50, £20.50 and £22. I wonder also why Orc Taskmasters and Drummers are now seperated, and the Shaman on foot model now costs more than the Shaman on Warg model.

The 'Great Beast of Gorgoroth ' is an adaptation of those used to haul Grond to the gates of Minas Tirith. Hmmm... Grond.
I took a quick look at the other 'releases' and a lot of them are existing sculpts being recycled in GW resin. Some of the new ones are rather confusing - I have no idea where they got them from as I don't recognise them as Tolkien canon characters. But, I am glad to see some new bit coming out.
However, as many people have already said, the prices are plainly ridiculous. If, and this is a very big 'if', I buy any of these it will be in much smaller numbers than I was hitherto accustomed. The Treasure Vault at Minas Dorthonion is not infinitely large.
I may hold off altogether until The Hobbit appears.

Its fantastic to see all these new releases.... But the price!!!! £24 for a command set.... Not sure I will be getting any of them! Still looking forward to future releases.

24£?! On the website it says 300kr which is 30£! How can they charge 6£ just because I live in Sweden?!

I know, it's horrible! And new players don't know that so they'll probably buy a set and think they've made a good deal.

Only something a lotr fan would say... Going forward till the task is complete, and even when it's harsh, you can still find a nice touch of humor.

Forgot why I liked this place on the web.

That's even more expensive, todays exchange rate is 300 nok = 348 sek, sure things are more expensive in Norway but as far as I can remember, GW products have been pretty much the same price in the UK as in Sweden. Now it's 6 quid as I said earlier, and even more for you guys in Norway.

Ouch I had no idea, thanks for the heads up. This is more brutal then at first glance, it seems.

On some of the pics, the Watcher has this weird sloping back, while on others it is round. Which is correct?!?

Like most of these releases to varying degrees. (Except goblin monkey king and the three stooges warg joy-riding)

Pricing is atrocious. But that's GW's M.O.. We should be familiar with that by now.

Keeping fingers crossed for WotR stats on GW website for the new models and hoping they don't frak game balance too much.

Also, the haradrim example army has 50% bows, though the Mordor army says the Great Beast counts as only one model in terms of bow limit. The Haradrim are ALSO 7 pts now.

Where are you getting this info, the WD?

Lol, neither. Since the back half of the Watcher is completely made up.
Seriously though I think it's just the angle of the photos deceiving the eye. :?

Ask the folks who live in Australia. Prices there are roughly double the UK prices.
