Right so here are my ideas:

Uruk Hai Grenadier

Basically an Uruk Hai Warrior with a new option called Shock Grenades. They cost 3pts, count towards the bow limit and have the following rules:

Shock Grenades: These are treated like a throwing weapon however they may also be thrown during the Shoot Phase if the user stays still in the Move Phase. Pick a model within 6" of the user and roll to hit as normal. If the model is hit then they suffer a S4 hit and if they are removed as a casualty then any Good model within 3" of the target must pass a Courage test, if they fail they are placed on their side and count as being Knocked Down as if hit by a Cavalry Charge.

Uruk Hai Hunter

Points: 12

Equipment: Sword, Armour, Orc Bow

F4/4+ S4 D4 A1 W1 C3

Special Rule: Ambush from the Shadows Before deployment pick a piece of scenery that is outside of both deployment zones and leave the Hunters to one side, making a note of the piece of terrain (either tell a third party or write it down). Deploy forces as normal except for the Hunters. On any turn after the second you may reveal the Hunters by placing them within base contact of the scenery, they count as having made half there movement to reveal themselves and may not charge but may shoot or move as normal. After this they move, shoot and charge as normal.

Any thing that seems off to anyone or anything else to say about these then post away, just some ideas to add to the Raiders and White Hand list.

The shock grenade should be 5pts I think.

The Hunter should be more since he borrowed a powerful special rule from WOTR.

Hang on, the Hunter should be 12pts lol. However didn't know that was a rule in WotR.

As for the Grenades i now put 3pts as really one you have to stand still, be within 6" and its effects only work if the Grenade actually kills the target, plus a Courage test isn't too bad to take.

I think the hunter is a good idea, I like the whole ambushers idea in WotR, but I don't like the grenadier.

Well the Grenadier came about after i looked at the demo charge and thought could they not harness such ability in smaller quantities? But really it is just to add to the fact that the White Hand is a little limited on allies that are any good, especially as they haven't released most of the Dunland profiles yet.

They have released most of the Dunland profiles (bexerkers, royalbloods etc will never exist), all that is left is horsemen.

They have released Warriors and Captains, not really what i would call most but at least they have released something, still awaiting half the models that appear in LoME that haven't been released.

Still awaiting Elf charioteers. It would be to difficult to turn the demo charges into grenades. If you added in a misfire to the rules and make them cheaper, it would be ok.

If something appears in LOME but is NOT in the WOTR game, then it will NEVER be released.

Well that seems to be true, annoyingly.

As for the Grenades i suppose a mis-fire, such as make the 1/2pts and have it that if they roll a 1 on the To Hit D6 then they hit is resolved against the user etc. Would make them worth 1 or 2pts rather than 3 or 4pts.

ah great idea. i prefer the hunters as i have played most of my games with a completely uruk scout force and after my "scouts" who i would consider to be fast and move well through terrain, have taken ages to get to my opponents half of the board, i have really wished for something to ambush and get me in combat faster

Well after having a look i may just add a converted Marhur as that way i can get Movement 7" Uruks with the Pathfinders rule, which i have been told in SBG is like a combination of the Woodland Creature and Mountain Dwellers, basically they treat difficult terrain as open ground. Nice for a guy that costs 60pts and the rule is only one extra point per Uruk (Scouts only) :P

For the grenades, have it as a throwing weapon that when it is thrown roll a d6, on a 4+ it explodes (meaning all models in 2in are knocked to the ground), 1-3 nothing happens. If the grenade fails to hit, it still will explode just in the users hands! When it explodes, the model (either throwing or the one hit) and all models in base contact with it take a Str 6 hit. If against a target with batter points, it auto hits. That is pretty realistic, but I haven't play tested it.
