Is it too soon to suggest a model for October?

Since we're back into the regular cycle of good and evil models, and Lurtz was the previous one, I suggest we do Eowyn next month.

There are a number of poses available: armoured, unarmoured, and even the 'Lady Greensleaves' model from eBob can be used to represent her in court at Edoras.

I like the Eowyn idea! :)

Ok, here is another one to chew on...how bout a custom banner bearer from any army? Leaves it open to good or evil, and adds a touch of artistic talent to be provided as some of the banners have no sculpted detail (Gamling's banner, Orc or Uruk banners, etc.) and will force you to have to use some freehand painting. Could even convert your own banner out of green stuff.

I'm going to selfishly suggest Beregond or Damrod (I'm trying to complete my army for a tournament).

Yeah let's leave it back to regular cycle as Red Corsairs mentioned before and every quarter of the year we do specials like we've done for September.

As for nominations of good figures for October, I nominate Glorfindel and Cirion as choices.

And maybe for an idea for the poll this time around Red Corsairs can put the voting into 2 stages if it's possible to edit the poll thread and change it. So if we get up to 12-20 models that is high in demand we do two stages of voting. So say there's 20 nominations we take the top half and vote again to decide the object to be painted.

How about something we don't often see, a female villain?

There are a handful of named ones, like Queen Beruthiel and Thuringwethil the vampire, and then of course the charming trio Spider Queen, Shelob and Ungoliant, but if we stretch the canon a bit, we could perhaps have easterling assassins, a corsair captain, Amarthiel from LotRO, Adûnaphel the Ringwraith... maybe a she-orc?

Thanks for the nominations folks, I'll bare them in mind when I set up the next poll (probably in the next couple of days as I usually start it around 10-12th of each month). Like said above, forces of good for October 8)

Well you'll get your chance to not vote for her for October and pursuade others not to do so as well.

As for a Hobbit, I guess suggesting Samwise means you can also divert off to other Hobbits of the fellowship or any others by that matter. If the vote is a specific Gondor hero I'm sure it will be a 'pick him' amongst several Gondor heroes as an option to paint. So on and so forth.

How about a pair of hobbits? Something like Frodo and Sam or Merry and Pippin.
