Not a question, I just learned this weekend how much I enjoy using GotGC, that third die is sooo helpful :)

8) I imagine so. I love squeezing the extra die in on my Wood Elves in SBG and will go toe-to-toe with Uruks, Morannons, etc with that Spear support (or for Shielding). I imagine a 3rd die for pikes would really rock.

Consider it a motivating factor.

:-D . But wood elves are still very good. The only thing I don't like about GotFC is that they're fight 6 which is a bit of a shame to be used as pike support IMHO.

Well, you don't actually need the extra fiight anyway. fight five is better than all base warriors and most elites anyway.

I agree the fight score difference did not really come into play, and I don't expect it would that often. I was facing Shagrat who was pestering my Rohan half, and was preparing a shuffle my line should he come near my elves, but by then the game was over.

Guards of the Galadhrim Court are often seen at GTs purely for the F6 and not the pike support though. Usually people use just 2 or 3. Yeah they can always support someone, but having them at the back of your line means that any potential Fell Beast that might ever consider flying in doesn't do so and any Spider Queen that charges the front is more careful because on a 50/50 in a fight that includes a guardsman she's dead. That plus the occasional F5 other heroes ;)

I don't think they're worth all those points for just supporting.

I believe it`s really hard to decide where to put these guards. On some occasions they can prove to be extremely helpful, especially when fighting evil heroes, most of whom have F5.But if I had to decide where to place them,I would definetely choose to put them in the third line.In my opinion the Elves, with their high fight value, when being given the opportunity to have more than 2 attacks, are just too dangerous.
