When i just play a general club or casual match i always find somethimes that we can go a few points over the limit. what do you think the limit should be and is it a good idea for things like tournaments? it does save reshuffling your whole army

Mos tof the time you can be a couple of points over for a friendly game, it's easy enough to say "just drop a spear or shield or two" but sometime's you don't have the figure...
On the whole though I would try to design an army that does not go over the limit, it's fine to have 3 less points in a friendly game after all, and then you don't have an advantage. For tournaments you absoloutely can not go over. Period. :)

Agreed. We are usually good about one or two points in friendly games. Yes you can often drop a piece of wargear but sometimes this creates more of a risk of confusion (all my Goblins have shields except one guy...and I think it's him...no wait...). Just ask you opponent in advance if possible, or when first setting up at the table otherwise.

If they seem a little unhappy with the overage, maybe you can make a table rule where if one player is over then the other player gets a bonus of the same amount to the first Priority roll of the game? You're over by 2 points, let him have +2 on that roll.

The priority bonus is a good one, but how about any priority roll in the game? I don't find priority that important in the first turn. If it was any priority roll, people would be less likely to go over :)

Agreed. But I think you mean "Any ONE Priority roll in the game" (like a weak Palantier). Not EVERY Priority roll. Being able to say "Yeah, I think I'll take that +3 on my roll now" when you really need to win it on Turn 5 would be nice.
