While working on my Gondorian army list for WotR, I noticed that I lacked calvary, and being short on money I decided to sabotage several of my Riders of Rohan. After a few conversions, namely shaving of all horse motifs and turning the shields around to show the wood grain side, giving them a Gondorian paint scheme etc. I also wanted to create new profiles for these guys, as well as a back story. I have two profiles here, and wanted some feedback on them! Thanks!

M/ F/ S/ D/ A/ R/ C/
8 4/4 3 4(5) 2 3 5

Each company has hand weapons, shields and may be givin bows for +5 pts.
Special rules:

Terrifying Yell! At the beginning of each turn, roll a D6, on a 4 or more they cause Terror that turn. On a 3 or less, nothing happens.

Tough as Nails. Being raises in the grueling Outlying Fiefdoms, the warriors are hardy and used to pain and rough going. They have a Resilience of 3.

Total cost 35 pts or with bows 40pts
What I was going for with these guys was a group of warriors from Outlying Gondorian areas, that arent necessarily great horsemen, but more of a good all around fighter. Perhaps I could say Gondor provides some of their weaponry and training?

Next!
M/ F/ S/ D/ A/R/ C/
10 5/4 4 4(5) 2 3 5

Hand weapons, shields and bows for +5 pts

Terrifying Yell! ( see above)
Tough as Nails. (see above)
Expert riders
Indomitable
With these guys, I changed it up a bit. They are more versed in riding and overall stronger. Perhaps coming froma villlage between Rohan and Gondor, getting the best of both worlds?
Cost 45 or 50 with bows

Any thoughts?

Well Anorien was a land between Rohan and Gondor, so thats could be used. Riders of Anorien? Sounds good. Or perhaps they could be from southeastern Gondor, around the Ringlo River area. Riders of The Ringlo does sound good...

IMHO, I'm all in favour for the extra resilience but given basic troops are only R1 I think these guys should have R2 for the infantry and keep R3 for the Cavalry.

Great idea btw, need a nice fifedom name like Anfalas Raiders or Pinnath Gelin Militia. Since both of these Fiefdoms lack any SBG models (unless you use the Best of White Dwarf: ROTK SBG rules) either would be suited. Anfalas has many hunters and I think Pinnath Gelin has more hardier men. Ringlo Veil is another option.
