Follow the link in this thread to read about the 800 point force starring the Witchking, Burdur and 2 Trolls. I will never underestimate the power of 3 trolls in a skirmish game.

I would say that there is no way 2 trolls is too many; not at 750 points at least.

Well some shots at a troll and its quite dead...

I remember I fielded lots of orcs a regular Mordor troll and a Chieftain... the troll died pretty soon (from elvish bowfire)... but thankfully the Chieftain made it into combar and even managed to kill Gil-Galad (with god gamn good luck) but was left with 1 wound and 0 might, 1 will and 0 fate.... the elven High King is a KILLER!!!

I wouldn't recommend 3 trolls myself in SBG, not only is this expensive, but you'll be very vulnerable to bow-fire and immobilise, you'll end up with your trolls being downed 1 by 1 whilst the others are just tied up in combat with one guy.

i played an 1000 point match and my troll got killed in two turns. didn't even get into a fight. i didn't have enough archers. i think i will get a couple of blisters of trackers to add to my archers so i can volley.
