As my previously posted army list was negative criticized i would like you guys especially the veterans and dwarf player among you to give me some pretty solid 500 list.

-Captain
-Banner
-Ballista (still dont know whats wrong with it... i mean it isnt superior but decent)
-Dwarf Ranger (box)
-Khâzad guards (9 )

I dont really want dwarf warriors but instead for some extra points khâzad guards...

It's going to be very tricky to make an effective force for erebor without any warriors. It is really essential so I would get it.

Well theres nothing wrong with it... its good but i would leave it for like 600pt+ games so you still have some numbers.

you know, i think that you should try out some of the stuff that you disagree with, find out what everyone is talking about. you can learn alot from what ppl tell you, but you will learn best from experience.

so go ahead and try stuff, make mistakes, learn from them. thats how everyone else is able to give you advice, through experience.

I actully just dont like the models and think K-Guards own more even if they dont have shields and cost some more points...

K-guard are going to be expensive £ wise to build your army off. But if you have the cash, go for it!

I just recognized that they are only 2 points more then a warrior with shield and have: -shieldblock;+1S;+2H weapon;+Bodyguard ! I don't but i think for 500 pts i wont need that many. What number would you suggest?

I take as many as I can get my grubby little hands on!

I own 6, so that means you'll see 6 in every game I play =)

I pretty much make my list by starting with a hero and a banner, then I add Khazad Guard, then Iron Guard. I have 6 of each at the moment (though I just got some more Khazads from e-Bay - Yay!)

So that brings me up to 289 points.

If you're playing LoME then I just add warriors and rangers, with a second hero and second banner as I get over 500 points.

But we play slightly adjusted rules so I add vault wardens =)

My best advice would be to get the Balin + KG pack, it's better value for money if you can find it. You get an awesome hero in Balin and 8 Khazad Guards.
