Hi all, this is my first post here on the forums but I've been following the site for quite a while.

I once saw an article here with a detailed study on gondor architecture, complete with detailed, drawn sketches of specific building features such as Minas Tirith's walls and roadside houses. I think the author of the drawing was named John something but I can't be sure. I saved the link to that page but it no longer seems to work.

Can anyone refer me to the page's new location or help finding similar architectural drawings? Thanks

Hmm it might be him. I did already go over the other articles in the section that you linked, and found some useful information although it would still be immensely helpful if I could find those drawings or something similar. Thanks though

I belive you're refering to one of Dagorlad's old articles on TLA, The Architecture of Gondor. I don't believe that article is here on OR, and with TLA currently rebuildng you won't be able to find it there either. You could try PMing Alan (Dagorlad), as he may have a coppy stored on his computer and might be kind enough to send it to you.

If the forum for the Minas Tirith Project still exists I remember seeing heaps of their own concept drawings, they were still very true to the designs in the film. The project is dead now but the forum might still be there with all the sketches...
