Damn, I'm torn...

Culture meaning easily accessible drugs and legalised 'special services' or 'I'm sure you can imagine' meaning gambling and ladies taking their clothes off...

All in the nature of studying the decline of Western civilisation and the more bestial nature of Man I hasten to add.

Honest...

That's only the beginning of our 'culture', John...

Hey everyone! :)

Here are some more photos, for your enjoyment. These were taken on a hike to White Rock Springs Peak, about a year or so ago. Sadly, I'm running out of good scenery pictures, so if you guys want any more I guess I'll just have to go hiking.

Image

This is the peak. The hike climbs the gully on the right of the photo.

Image

This photo is taken from about half way through the hike, looking down the route we came up.

Image

Looking out across Red Rock, on the way up.

Image

A similar view, but from the summit of White Rock Springs Peak.

Image

This is a view from the summit. In the foreground is the ridge of White Rock Springs Peak, in the center is Turtlehead Peak, I hike I've done before, and to the right is the Calico Hills where the first pictures I shared were from.

Hope you guys enjoyed these. :)

Hey everyone. Since I promised Brian I would post pictures up after my next hike, I figured I'd better do so or risk a banning.

Me and my dad scrambled to a fairly small overlook in Red Rock Canyon, although its not a long hike it was full of difficult srambling.

So, here you are everyone. :)

Some pics from my trip to Lisbon back in May.

This first one is the Tower in Belém,just outside Lisbon. It's connected to the mainland by a short bridge.
Image

These two are of the palace in Sintra. They look like Disneyland! :D You're not allowed to take photos inside the former royal palace, but even the outside is stunning.
Image
Image

This is a view from the summit of the Castello dos Mouros (Castle of the Moors) in Sintra.
Image

The next two are views of the outer walls of the castle. They wind for a fair distance before arriving in the more impressive top sections (the second last picture here).

These last two are views of the walls of the Castello.

Oi! I know this place!

The whole area in Belém is really evocative. There's that Tower, the Jerónimos Monastery, the Monument of Discoveries, the Wind Rose in the pavement... I love it really! Haven't been in there for years!

And that looks like Palácio da Pena, in Sintra (theres another palace called Palácio de Sintra) and its a great place to visit.

Nice piccies Ingold, hope you enjoyed your stay. ;)

Hey everyone,

I tried to tell myself not to post much more in here, not wanting to be a thread hogger, but I just couldn't resist sharing pictures of my latest hike. Me and my dad took a long and hard hike deep into Red Rock Canyon, leading all the way up into Gunsight Notch Canyon, Peak and the Notch itself. As they say, a picture is worth a thousand words...

The pictures are shown in chronological order, to give you a better idea of how the scenery changes. If you look closely, you can actually see me in one of the pictures.

Awesome scenery, Josh! Love the first and third pics. :D . You're in the third one, I see.

You make me want to go there....

What kind of camera are you using? It's sure far superior to mine. :?
And I have here some pictures of Ardmore, County Waterford: (they are several years old, I believe - they were apparantly on our Zip-drive!)

View across the bay from two points on the southern headland (Ardmore Head)

The Round Tower

The rocks below Ardmore Head (there are far more of them and are far
more imposing from the sea)

The ruin of Saint Declan's church

Time for something from Canada. These are of or off of Heriot Island, which is really a part of Quadra Island but at high tide it is separated by a small channel.

Very nice pictures. :) Canada has some very nice scenery... almost fake the way the grass and sea are so brightly coloured.
