From the Books :!:

They lay still for awhile. It was too dark to seek for cover, if indeed there was any to find; but Sam felt that they ought at least to get further away from the highways and out of range of torchlight
Quote:
Come on, Mr Frodo! he whispered. '??????? more crawl/crawls. and then you can lie still

With a last despairing effort Frodo raised himself on his hands, and struggled on for maybe twenty yards. Then he pitched down into a shallow pit that opened unexpectedly before them, and there he lay like a dead thing.

Question: How many crawls did Sam state Frodo needed to take :?:

Was it a 'few'

I don't remember this at all, but a half decent guess would be a dozen

In my book, that's page 247 of Chapter II: The Land of Shadow, Book Six. You had me read 2 chapters looking for this. I found out all about the orcs' conversation as they walked past the hobbits. Make easier fill in the blanks questions next time! :D

Ok, my go. Now it won't be easy (Durinsbane made me read half the book the other day, so I'm well informed). I want:

From the books :!:

What did Sam and Frodo say to get past 'the Watchers' in Cirith Ungol?
I also want you to know who said what, and in what order.

Frodo: I cant go on Sam, I'm going faint. I dont know whats come over me.
Sam: I do Mr Frodo. Hold up now! Its the gate. Theres some devilry there. But I got through, and I'm going to get out. It cant be more dangerous than before. Now for it
(Sam draws the Phial of Galadriel)
Gilthoniel, A Elbereth
Frodo: Aiya elenion ancalima

ok guys.

Who sang each of these songs and when:

1. "Cold be hand and heart and bone, And cold be sleep under stone: never more to wake on stony bed, never, till the Sun fails and the Moon is dead"

2. "The dragon is withered, His bones are now crumbled, His armour is shivered, His splendour is humbled!"

3. 'Troll sat alone on his seat of stone, And munched and mumbled a bare old bone.'

Ok, don't know when, just a random guess: Gollum? I bet I'm wrong.

No I'm afraid not. :(

And sorry not to be clear, as each was sung by different character(s). I modified the post, so hope it's clearer now.

4 of the following 5 quotes were spoken by Faramir to the people of Gondor when he asked, whether or not Aragorn should be made King !
Which one is 'false' !

01. Wielder of the Flame of the West
02. Captain of the Host of the West
03. The Elfstone
04. Chieftain of the Dunedain of Arnor
05. Bearer of the Star of the North

Wielder of the flame of the west,
that was Gandalf if I'm right.

I'm going to make it a little difficult:
By who's deed did the last of the Haladin die?
Formulated differently: who took care of the last of the Haladin to perish
Good luck

I think it was by the curse of Morgoth and by the deeds of Húrin Thalion and Túrin Turambar.
