 I have another idea which is basically the same as the taskmaster but with will points rather than heroic actions.

For example, whenever an apprentice uses a point of will within 6", roll a dice on a 4+ the apprentice does not need to use a point of might.

My second idea is that masters could act as a banner for apprentices.
You do not have to give the banner a range if you don't want to, make it so he benefits as long as the master is alive

Or make it so the master acts like the white banner of minas tirith: Increases the apprentices fight value by one if he is within 6".

The master should have access to an elven cloak as well!

ARE YOU GOING TO REDUCE THE COURAGE BY ONE ON THE APPRENTICE

im not shure about the tusk master rule thing, if i put that in id have to get rid of the other one, also the banner ones seem cool but then id have to up there points even more for somthing they would raley use

i will give them elven cloaks though good idea

About the master

AS noted above the spells are too cheap...

and why does he have a FV of 6? and 2 attacks?

common he´s aftherall a mage not an Elf captain who has the same things only that the Captain has master this in combat...

Like the Mage Master would be like a Elf Captain with a magical side..

Not so good thing I might add...

Why then gandalf didn´t have 3? attack or even 2 NO he got 1...

Other than that seems fine... Though Sentinels have some magic as you said that there are no No named magic casting elves...

Sentinels are and prettu good at it I might add

i whanted to make him a bit of a fighter, lets just say Elf Mages are trained to fight aswell as cast spells

and that is the one bad thing about gandalf they should really give him another attack

I like the idea of him being a fighter and magical being at the same time.
Afterall, if he isn't a good fighter, then there is no point in him having access to the mage blade.

Also,ELF magicians are good at fighting and magic.

However, I agree:

Gandalf, Arwen and radagast all have a single attack and they are named heroes!!!!!!!

It would be a good idea to REDUCE THE ATTACKS ON THE MASTER'S PROFILE TO 1.

Even though the apprentice has 1 attack, the master should have a better FV and strength!

arwen and radagast i can see why they have only one attack but the rest of the wizards such as saruman need to be better fighters.

No Sarmuna was no fighter or atleast I didn´t see him doing some exra staff....

As for Gandalf I though that if he deosn´t cast any magic at the move pahse then he has 2 attacks cause he is not concentrated on magic but fighting...

Like in film too he didn´t cast any amgic while fighting

This would Seem Fair and Square

hmm...if you do create rules for a master + apprentice I think they should be part of the wanderers in the wild, you could say that they are travelling the world, making contacts etc.

Well, I don't particularly like the Insperational Masters rule, because I think that's a bit too close to power gaming. If it is included, it should rather be a rule for the Masters themselves, with a correspondent increase (10 or so) in points cost.
Also, I think the apprentise should only have 1 wound - but I'm willing to consider arguments for letting him keep 2...

Corsair's suggestion of Passing Of The Knowledge is interesting, but I don't really think it fits into the LoME system. Now, if we could work out a way to put the mages into Battle Companies, it would fit perfectly.

Over all, I really like this Apprentise. Good work!

I just had a look at the revisions for the Master. Most excellent! A true paragon of the First Age of the Sun!
I understand MoS's arguments for only 1 attack, but I have to disagree: Mages fit more into First & Second Age games, when the elves were the power in Middle Earth. It's fitting that one who is adept at mastering the world around him would stand better in battle than the average joe. It seems to me that these are the lesser nobles of the Elven Houses, a bit lower in rank than the "ordinary" Elven Lords. (see Fall of Gondolin & an Elven Lord stat I've worked on over the years - I don't remember if I actually posted in on OR, but I could post it here if people want, I guess...)
Anyway. These Elven Mages seem to me equally "Elven Barons" if you will, so they should be able to handle themselves in a fight.

Well,.... The Wanderers can ally with dwarves - there's even a couple dwarves in the list, so...
Just say they can only be in an army that does not include dwarves or something.

And, by the way, Corsair, there's a lot of good solid 'people' in the Wanderers. Respect the Wanderers! Respect 'Em!

.....?
I was just hassling Corsair. No harm meant.

I don't have a problem with them not being Wanderers, in fact I think they shouldn't be. Just give them an army listing rule something like this:
Heart of the Eldar An Elven Mage may only be included in a force that is comprised only of elven factions. If this criterion is met, an Elven Mage may be allied with any elven faction.
