After much consideration I have decided to leave a negative feedback for black shadow. I feel that a comment is needed to explain this situation.

This trade was offered to me, but was seriously lopsided in my favor. I didn't feel right about this from the beginning, so after several PMs back and forth I finally agreed to a more fair trade for both parties. I sent my package to him with tracking (items were received 6 days after I sent package). His package never arrived and then I was informed that my package hadn't arrived either, obviously, this was not a truth. When dealing with new traders I always put tracking on my packages to ensure that the trade makes it to my trade partner. Black shadow has my models.

I strongly caution someone who is considering dealing with him.

Well, I have also an unpleasant tale to tell of Black Shadow, almost exactly like BotWT's except I didn't have the foresight to put tracking on my package and so I cannot guarantee that it arrived (but my gut feeling tells me it did).

not jumping on the bandwagon here, and its very weird you guys saying this, but i seem to be having the same experience with him right now ?

hes saying my trade hasent arrived, now after reading this im guessing it has and hes just ripped us off.

shame it was only 1 mini, ive got it in mind that after hes read this to just ban the sod .. . .

I'm afraid I too was duped by Black Shadow aka Mathew Spice. We agreed on a trade on June 23rd: my Wood Elf Command blister and a whole bunch of plastic high elves for his 3 blisters of Ruffians. I shipped my side of the deal on Monday, June 25th. It's been 3 weeks and no return package and no response to my many PM's. It looks like he hit several of us quickly and then bailed. In case he re-registers here under a new user ID and tries it again, do not have dealings with this little thief:

he hasent bailed from the site i banned him for good , he started emailing me with quite a bit of abuse saying im a liar and that we all got together and ripped him off , i then basically told him hes not welcome here anymore and that we dont need people like him on the site.

I'm glad I noticed that Sean was about to make a deal with this guy so I gave him the heads up, but I feel bad that I didn't notice that the rest of you were dealing with him, if I had I would have done my best to warn you guys off. Kinda feel bad, like I should have been watching out a little closer. :oops:

To all who have been ripped off by Black Shadow !

I know as Admin, we stated that you 'Trade at your own risk'...

However, we have only encountered '2' blatant 'rip offs' to date since we created this forum.

Both myself and Alan feel very strongly that we have to look after the Members of this site, therefore just to let you know that we have sought advice from friends/members who happen to be Lawyers and we have taken this matter in hand.

Please dont be fooled into thinking that we will get a result in this matter, however you have our promise that as Administrators of this site, we will take this matter as far as we possibly can.

I have been instructed to try and resolve this matter as ammicably as possible and I am in the current stages of doing so.

Failing this, I will take the matter further in a bid to get resolution to the issue.

Overall, I have asked that the Trades either be completed, or the miniatures are returned to you all.

Unfortunately, if Black Shadow complies with this, I will not be able to get any resolution on the loss due to P&P.

I sincerely hope this matter IS resolved, and will update you all on any progress !

Thanks Brian for doing what you can...that is very generous of you to invest your time like this. However I would like to donate my models to the website (if the models return, and if they come back unpainted/unbroken) and maybe they can be used as a prize for some competition.

The opportunity to trade minis with others around the world is something that many people here have enjoyed and used quite frequently. We (Brian and I) stressed right at the start that this is a 'trader beware' system because it is not something that we can guarantee at all - it's really down to you to trust the other person and to behave in a responsible way yourself.

But having said that, it has been a pleasure to have this facility here because you all have managed to impress us with your integrity and honesty. And so when someone abuses the system and spoils it for everyone else, we feel that we do have some obligation to try our best to help out.

I would like to add my thanks to Brian for taking this on and trying to get some resolution to the situation. He is a great asset to the site and shows us again and again how much he does care about the community.

Of course, Brian's efforts may not achieve anything - the promised models were probably never owned by this guy in the first place, so I doubt we'll ever see them. But if Black Shadow's parents give him hell for it, then that'd satisfy me.

Maybe we should have a trade aware system, where people under 50 posts can't trade and that the first trade they do the person waits for the goods to arrive before sending there own minis
