Recently (not really - almost a year ago) i picked up several sets of night goblins and began working on conversions. My gf seeing all the minis got interested in the game and asked me if she could join me. I helped pick out some models and paints... taught her how to paint (wasn't as easy as i thought it would be). But she picked it up rather quickly. She decided to go with Bretonian army, cause she liked Pegasus and knights. I promised her that for a Hero i'd convert her something real nice. Now the time has come and she really liked the pose of the Archaon's horse. So I've said I'll make a Pegasus out of it. So far i have opened the box and am staring at it confused wondering how should i go about removing Lord of the end times legs. (how was i supposed to know that legs would be attached to the horse)

Any suggestions as to how to remove such large chunks of metal of the model would be appreciated. I will keep you updated as to my progress. In my mind the end result would be marvelous, but the journey there would be quite a challenge.

Best thing would be bit by bit with clippers, or use a razor saw or dremmel.

You aiming for something like this? With wings obviously...

There is also a conversion for an Empire Knight on Archaon's horse by Seb Perbet, but I can't find an image...

I found rotary tool at home that i may attempt to use on this. (i've had some bad experience with it before when i was converting) It may handle the large chunks though. And then i will file the rest. (i should really invest in clippers.)

Thanks! yeah... that's what i am aiming for. I don't know if i should create Armour on it. But yeah that's definitely it. (she wants to make it pink) I may have to put a damsel on the horse.

I might have to play with the green stuff to make flames. She wanted it to 'splode' stuff. So i may also look into making flames coming out of the nostrils. We'll see.

So far all i have is this :)

an image that is started with:

and the pieces that i will use.

So i've started to file the legs down using a rotary tool that i had at home and i broke 3 different blades.

And a filer takes to long. So i am of to a home depot store to buy some clippers. Hopefully tomorrow i'll be able to continue with my efforts in conversion.

A little bit of filing got accomplished. Clippers have failed me as i have broken a set ... lol... got another one, but the new ones can't quite get big chunks. So yeah i am stuck with filing it down for now, till i come up with something better. I have finished with the right side of the horse.
In addition the end of work session has really slowed me down on everything :(
Although it maybe just another excuse. :)
