1. To enter the painting challenge, the miniature you are painting must not be painted before starting and picture proof must be shown of the miniature 'pre-painted' (unprimed, undercoated or if you are repainting and old miniature - in its' original paint scheme) otherwise your entry will not be eligible. 2. You may join the painting challenge in progress at any time, but must submit photographs of the completed miniature by midnight GMT of January 31st 2017. WIP images are welcomed and encouraged. A maximum of 4 photos per model of your completed entries please, this allows you to show your miniatures off from front, back and each side which is more than enough. If you would like to compile more than four pictures into one file it is ok to do that Pictures of completed models must be submit using a third party hosting site such as photobucket or imageshack. Pictures submit by attachment will not be eligible for the vote. Any problems PM me. 3. Miniatures that are completed in time will be eligible to win the challenge. The challenge winner will be decided by the vote of the OR community. The community will choose one winner and one runner-up from the completed miniatures. Votes should be cast not simply on painting skill, but on merit, including creativity, application of painting techniques, artist improvement, etc. There is no prize available for the winners of this challenge, the challenge is solely for community participation and as an incentive for people to reduce their backlog and improve their painting skills. 4. With the introduction of The League Winners from the previous month are now eligible to enter and win consecutive challenges without penalty. Good luck and have fun! |

Just to check - is this any single "Good" mini? If so I'm going with Aragorn - the ultimate good guy! "Into the wild..." |

Here's my entry for this month - Aragorn/Strider, the next mini of my Fellowship. Getting the Fellowship and Balin's Tomb finished is one of my hobby goals for 2017. |

Elfhelm 2 by robertmontag, on Flickr Elfhelm 3 by robertmontag, on Flickr Elfhelm 4 by robertmontag, on Flickr Elfhelm 1 by robertmontag, on Flickr A few notes on Elfhelm here: I converted him out of a Captain of Rohan and the head of a High Elf Spearman. This was the first time I have ever used all four levels of paint from GW, let alone on the majority of the model. This was also my first time flocking anything, so it probably doesn't look that great. I attempted to get a patina look on the helmet, so you could tell he recovered an ancient helmet to match his name. His mount has Plains Native American horse markings, including the "pat hand" marking a brave horse. I hope you all like my efforts, this may be the most in depth paintjob on a model I have ever done. |

Hi. I would like to participated with an Iron Guard conversion from a Khâzad-Dum dwarf... The mini is already painted but at this moment is in alcohol and the black spray is ready for the base coat. This weekend or this night I hope to finish it. |
