I've updated all profiles to match with the SBG and the newest supplement "War in the North", you can download the files from here: https://files.fm/u/qu5jpht7tp There are 2 files: the entire rulebook compressed in 20 pages of rules (mostly pictures) & the army lists that contains formations stats and points. These contain: -Rosters and factions changed to resemble those from the Strategy Battle Game. -Point values rebalanced. -Profiles updated: some formations have now different special rules and stats. -New Heroes. -New Formations: to play the new models from The Hobbit and the recent supplements. -An elaborate alliance system to resemble that of the Strategy Battle Game, and uniques army bonus for each faction. -Improved rules to keep the game quick and enjoyable (fixing magic, fall back move, epic actions and game-breaking combos). I called this game system War in Arda, to avoid copyright issues, and it is heavily inspired by the War of the Ring 2.0 project and the system created by Jay White. War in Arda took what i think was the best of the improvements of Wotr 2.0 and merged with some of Jay White. However, War in Arda uses infantry trays of 6 models each (rather than 8 like in War of the Ring). This change has multiple benefits: -the board results bigger, improving manouverability of armies; -Cavalry results more effective without altering the original stats; -Assembling an army results cheaper, because less models are required to play the game. Also, at the end of the file i've included some conversions to play this system with the 8 models per tray, for those who prefer "the old way". This is the culmination of a work started years ago, hope you like it. |

I looked through the lists and noticed that the Carn Dum troops are missing for Angmar. You reference WotR 2.0 project, but I'm not seeing any of Bairchoro's recalculated point values, so this is mostly your group's home rules? |

Quote: "Killerkatanas"]I looked through the lists and noticed that the Carn Dum troops are missing for Angmar. Men of Carn Doom miniatures were never released by GW, so they were replaced by black numenoreans and dunlendings. For lore references, in the appendix of lotr book is stated that the witch king rallied many evils to his service during the angmar wars, some of them were men, probably hillmen from Rhudaur (related to the ethnic group of the dunlendigs) or perhaps deserters of numenorean blood. Over the years much has been changed, the work of baichoro has been the starting point of mine. |
