War of the Ring So a Winged Nazgul is behind a formation of orc warriors and a formation of Minas Tirith archers wants to shoot in the shoot phase. Can the archers see the Winged Nazgul even though a line of fire cannot be traced through other formations, in this case the orc formation? Also, can the Winged Nazgul see to cast a spell? He is behind the formation of orc warriors so doesn't the orcs block his ability to see the Minas Tirith archers? I know for Mumakil it states they are a Massive Monster and count as an elevated position, but it does not state this in the profiles for flying monsters. Thanks |

It might sound strange, but flying monsters in this game are assumed to stay grounded in any moment, except while actively moving in the Move phase. So they cannot see through any obstacles nor be seen, and they may even been stomped by mumakil. |

That's the way I understood it as written. Just wanted to check if that is the way others understand it. I may have to house rule that one. |

Yeah, flying monster rules are not among the most successful of the game. |
