Hi guys, When charging and you line up your troops/trays with the defender, you must align as many formations as possible (page44) Does the enemy/opposing formation that is being attacked also line up as many formations as possible to meet attacker? Or must defenders stay stationary. So you could have three formations for example attacking one formation. |

Hi there Drummer On Page 44, under "Impacting Multiple Targets" and specifically the last paragraph, it states that you must bring as many companies into base contact with the charging formation as possible but "without changing configuration". So the defending formation does not remain stationary but does have to stay in "formation" as it were... +EDIT+ Also, to answer your last question, yes, you can have multiple formations attacking one enemy formation. Hope that helps |

Many thanks WhiteWizard, please excuse me, but does that mean that the attackers must change formation but the defenders cannot! |

No problem Drummer That's right, attacking fromations MUST move as many companies into base contact as possible, which will often mean they must change configuration. And no, the defender cannot change configuration. This is why Heroic Charges can play such a critical role in the game, so make sure you've always got a hero in your formations so they can call one at the right moment, or counter one as the case may be... |

@Drummer, you are using the word 'formation' to mean 3 different things (formation, company and configeration/alignment) which is confusing. |
