Why does Saruman have Epic Challenge? With only a fight of 4, he isn't someone I'd want in a heroic fight. Wouldn't Lurtz have been a much choice for this ability? Has anyone had any use for Saruman's Epic Challenge? |

Theme wise probably. He's aggressive, egotistical and with an attitude, so why not? And to totally have fun with it, have him Epic Challenge Gandalf! |

Likely to make people waste Might points. It states that you must use Might points to try and get there and he has the ability to stall charges on a 4+, so if they roll a 3, they must use Might etc... Plus, it can get units into combat that have been trying to avoid it. Those are just a few guesses as to uses for it... |

Good point on the Might burn. I didn't think of that trick. If you have him in a tough Formation and you give a challenge to a relatively weak Hero ( generic magic user or such) then it may work out well. But it's still a big risk that the Challenge may go off and you roll a 1 and your foe rolls a 6. Better see what spells or actions (Lurt'z Assassin Shot) can help even things out too... |

I agree with Beowulf, it's theme-wise. Lots of Heroes in WotR have Epic Actions that aren't very good but fit in with the books/films. |
