My apologies to all, but I haven't finished the Gold Coin system in time for the end of Hobbit Month, and now I'm in to my busiest period at R/L work. I will get it done over the holiday period, but I just couldn't make it in time for end of November. |

The Gold Coins were a way of gaining rank on the website, many years ago. It was a custom-built system unlike anything else in the world. members would earn "gold coins" for supporting the community in many ways - writing articles, helping other members in the forums, winning competitions, etc. These coins could be traded in for 'inventory items' which, when you get a full set of them, would raise your rank. It was very popular back then, but unfortunately didn't survive our move to phpBB version 3. I hope to rewrite it soon. |

I remember it took me quite a while to figure out what the coins were use for,  It was kind of like a mini rpg of purchasing items and leveling up. |
