Unfortunately i have just heard some devastating news from Davids Wife Lisa, David Terian "Bilbo Of The White Tower" has passed away this morning, Ive known Dave since i first appeared on this site and he was always a caring and brilliant man ! his conversions, painting and love for the hobby where second to none and ive always admired him the only thing i can say to how i feel would be the message i sent is wife Lisa . . . Quote: Hi Lisa, Ive just sat here for nearly 40 minutes trying to think of what to say and nothing but tears.. i know we never met in person but i really do class him as one of my closest friends and i care for him deeply, he always called me his "UK brother", i really hope he wasnt in pain and i assume it came sudden as he only posted yesterday on a couple of conversions hes done, if i can do anything or help in anyway lisa please just ask as nothing will be to much for Dave. but i will always remember and really miss him. Matt Ill miss you my friend . . . . . . . . |

David has been an inspiration to me from the minute I joined the One Ring community. I am forever grateful for the advice and the friendship he has shown me during my time here. He will be so sadly missed. A remarkable painter and a remarkable guy. This is really hard to take : ( Goodbye brother |

This is a kick in the gut. David was one of the nicest people I'd ever met on the internet. We chatted on One Ring and got a chance to meet in person once at a Games Day in Chicago. He was such a great guy and I don't really know what else I can say. After one round of miniature trades back in the day and I ended up on his Christmas Card list. Just an ubelievably nice guy. |

This is so sad... Dave was here in OR pretty much since the start, and was kind enough to be part of the staff here in the site for a while. I never met him in real life, but I've always considered him along the many friends I gathered online through this site. His original and inventive conversions, the Hobbit fan supplement he released, his contribute in the forums and specially his great character will outlive him and remain an inspiration to us all. My prayers are with him. May he rest in peace. |

Wow. This was totally unexpected. I didn't Know Bilbo very well (just from interactions on here), but he always seemed like a good guy. It's sad to hear he is no longer with us. My condolances to Lisa, and any other family and friends. My thoughts and prayers are with you. |

May the Road rise to meet you, May the Wind be ever at your back, May the Sun shine warm upon your face, May the Rain fall soft upon your fields, And until we meet again, May God hold you in the palm of His Hand. ~An Irish Blessing Resquiat in pace, Bilbo. My prayers with you and your family in this time of loss. |

To me, Dave will always be the one One-Ringer of whom I could remember the avatar picture in earlier times. The Bilbo with a minas tirith body. That's a stupid thing to say, but it feels more important to me than it probably is. It means what he said or did left an impression on me throughout the years. He was an oldie on this website and respected by everyone. His work was phenomenal. I'll remember him as a friendly face on the internet and an inspiration for all hobbyists. Sad to hear this, but perhaps more important, we were lucky to have had the privilege of knowing of him and his work. |

I've only been a member of this site for a few weeks but Bilbo must have posted encouraging words on every piece of work I showed on here. I feel genuine sadness that such a kind, giving man has passed away so suddenly and I wish I had known him better. My thoughts are with his family, what a loss. |

It's so unfair. He was such a wonderfull guy. Respected everyone, so attentive to others, always lots of entusiasm and yet so humble for himself. It's so hard to believe and to realize he's sailing his last ship to a new beginning. May his wife Lisa and his family find all the strength they need to go through these hard times. Rest in peace Dave, you will be missed terribly! |

This is very sad news. I still remember clearly his encouraging PMs about my painting when I joined the One Ring, and how welcoming he was. I will pray for his wife Lisa and the rest of his family that they may find peace at this terrible time. |

I'm somewhat at a loss for words. Dave was one of the good guys and helped make this a special place that is welcoming and supportive. He'll be sorely missed. |

It's hard to find the words. I never really knew Dave, but I saw enough of him around the boards to know that he was a great man. Friendly, helpful, talented, as many have said he brought a lot to the community. My thoughts and prayers go out to his wife and family during this terrible time. Rest in peace David. |

I've been thinking and thinking for ages of what to say ... and find I can't really take it in. It really hasn't sunk in yet. The strength of a community like ours is due to members like Dave. His skill and friendliness touched everybody he interacted with. I can only imagine his real world persona was equally generous. His wife Lisa, the family and all his friends must be utterly devastated. It is a measure of a person to see how this sort of news can profoundly affect people who have only really interacted with him in a virtual world. Members of all ages, from all over the world, stunned and saddened by the loss. RIP from Azog and the clan |

This is devastating news, I can't begin to imagine how Lisa and the family feel. My best of wishes go out to them and all of his friends including those he had made here. Dave was a truly inspirational member of the community and one of the many people I have come to be friends with through the One-Ring. There are people here who knew him better than myself however it doesn't detract from how deeply saddened I am by this news. This really goes to show how much of an impact one kind, helpful, inspirational and talented person can have on a close community like ours. Once again, my best of wishes go out to Lisa, his family and friends. Just as he will always be remembered by you, he will too always be remembered here by his extra family; the One-Ring community! Rest in peace David. |
