Just as a reminder, we have a "Report post" button on top of each forum post. If you notice spam, please click that button and it will be taken care of quickly. Quickly means usually the next time a moderator or admin logs in, which is normally happening in a couple of hours. If you instead reply to the spam post, chances are that just the spam is deleted and your post ends up referring to something that does not exist there anymore, making you look silly. You may want to avoid that, so just use the big, red, friendly exclamation mark instead of reply button. Carry on... -- Pasi |

Remotely related, but not directly: In some posts (my rohan review in the Evaluating Units thread in the WOTR forum, for instance) there are random words transformed into links (but not by me) that lead to an online survey for something. Is this good? |

That doesn't sound good. Could you link an example where this is visible please as I haven't come across it before and can't seem to find a problem at the moment. |

I'm sorry for the inconvienence, but I think it might just be something with my internet then, as it has also been happening on other sites now, and I recently downloaded something that did something weird to my search bar. Sorry again |

Over 1200 posts of spam is kind of ridiculous now... wondering if it should just be deleted anyway... I mean who's actually going to benefit from or read all those posts?? |

Guys come on - How many times do i need to keep on reminding you? If you see a spam thread anywhere on the One Ring please report it and DO NOT REPLY TO IT!!!! Yet again a spam thread about kitched retsorations appeared today and 2...yes 2 longstanding OR members replied to it. Guys you should know better, you know who you are. The rules are clear enough on this subject and if the rules are continuously ignored then warnings will be issued. This is the last time i am going to say this. Be warned. |
