Post subject:  Saving bad water effects

Hi, I've not much experience with water effects and the section I have tried hasnt come out very well (uneven, bubbles etc) - is there a way to fix this or does anyone have tips to potentially cover it up e.g. foliage, plants?

I can't make suggestions with so little information. What did you use to create the effect?

I used "Deluxe Materials" scenic water, it comes solid in a jelly like blob which you warm up and then pour

I have not tried that brand. I do not use the Woodland Scenic version because it turns yellow.

If you have a hair dryer try reheating. I do not have much confidence that will remove bubbles. It may smooth it out a bit. A real heat gun will be too hot.

Thanks I will try reheating, if not I think I should be able to remove it from the board and start again

Before you start over, take some super fine grit sandpaper, wet it a bit and sand away. Once you have a smooth surface, do another pour. Be sure to remove all the dust and loose material first.
Make sure your surface is level and you can smooth things over with a piece of plastic, like they use to smooth out wallpaper.

Let us know how it works out.

I managed to remove it, I retried using woodland scenics water effects which was a lot easier to work with and it turned out better

Thanks for your help
