Hi there! A friend and I are doing a LOTR campaign, and are in the process of killing ourselves over the cost of all the stuff . Anyway, just wondering if any of you have made the (daunting) Weathertop model. The instructions seem a little unclear. Also the big Hobbit rulebook says it should be on a hill. Has anyone made one? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks! |

Thanks very much for all of this. I am doing this campaign with Hilmir and we have just finished Bucklebury Ferry, where Merry almost perished to a Black Dart - Very tense! Anyway, does anyone know how big the hill should be if using the Weathertop shown above, will the big hill in the journey book work? Thanks |

Have you tried doing a search on Weathertop within this and works in progress forums? Use the search button at the upper right of the page - it should give you some good ideas |

Thanks very much for all your help. I think we have decided to use the model that Mithaearon suggested; saving lots of time (but not necessarily money). Now we just need to make a suitable hill. Also, Mithaearon, your barrow tutorials on your site are really cool, and we will make four of them for our "Fog on the Barrow downs" scenario. Thanks again! |

No worries, theres also a Bucklebury Ferry article in there. We are going to be releasing a FotR related fan supplement soon. Hopefully coming up will be an Amon Hen guide too. |

Thanks! We have just done bucklebury ferry, and built it but we will look at the Amon Hen as well when it is released. Good idea with the FotR thing, that will be a great help. |

That looks awesome, great job! Love the broken pillars in white. I ordered the karavantis ruin(not sure if I got that right) and it arrived yesterday. So now we just need the hill. I haven't got a hot wire cutter, so my only tool is a knife, and a terrible saw which I have cut myself with multiple times ( my finger still hasn't healed since an unfortunate barrow incident) Any advice on making it flat, without using a hot wire cutter, or should I just buy one, if so which is the best value for money? Thanks in advance ! |
