So with the citadel battlemat gone I can't find a proper grass mat to play the game. I mean sure the kitchen table looks great with some trees and ruins of osgiliath but I could use a grass mat too. The dimensions I need are the standard 4x6 (if I'm correct because in the metric system that I use its 112x168 cm). Or really anything bigger or a bit narrower would work just fine I dont want the grass to be static so that my modles dont float on it and I don't mind the colour. I just want it green. Finally, I need worldwide or europe shipping as I live in greece. Cheers! |

Pm whitewizard. He owns a vinyl battlemat company and has recently released a grass effect one for about £30ish. If not, search eBay. There are loads on there. |

Preferably ones that are currently on the eBay store right now. I've never really considered buying one because the picture(s) on the listings look so fake. You never really get a true sense of what the material is like, what it looks like unfolded on a table, how it looks under lighting... etc. Thanks |

I'm trading a battle Matt with him!! But JamesR you could get a large piece of cloth glue on sand and texture it on a larger scale as I used a brown paint and it creating a sort of crackled affect just like the pic you have or even use card board or wood |

What about some kind of clay/putty that shrinks? That should give you the cracked ground effect. |

When I painted the sand it cracked and I just used the gw set with a big brown bottle of paint and ochre paint |

[quote="JamesR"]I figured this would also be the appropriate place to ask about this. I'm looking for a mat that fits more of what I image Rhun to look like. I imagine it more of a West Texas or Arizona type of Desert like this http://obsidian3d.blogspot.com/2013/09/ ... -test.html Zuzzy does not have bad customer service they have cash flow and third word manufacturer problems. Make sure the product is in stock before you order. http://www.zuzzy.com/2013/09/sulfur-fie ... g-mat.html Home made mat Mike paints and flocks canvas and old bed sheets. I do not know of a way to make mud cracks on cloth. I can do it on a hard surface. Let me get through the Ice storm and I will post a materials list on the non lotr wip. |

I use an old green US Army blanket I brought home from overseas. It's almost 6x4' (not exact, I forget the proper dimensions) and it has a sort of grassy look to it. |
