Hi all, here. I was thinking of trying to make the mangler and bonebreaker torture machines for my goblin town. The only photos i could find were from the scene for about 2 seconds. Is there anything in the art of weta book or etc. Ill try and find some photos thanks! |

There's a fair bit of Goblin Town stuff in the Chronicles book but nothing of the torture machines. There's some fairly detailed pictures of the cage/bowl the dwarves land in though. My guess would be that they were fairly late additions to the film (makes sense if you watch the production diary) and perhaps the book had gone to print before they were added. Sorry! |

http://images.wikia.com/lotr/images/7/7 ... n_town.jpg This is one image you may find useful in making a full-scale board, it doesn't show the torture machines but it does show an overall view of the place |

Sorry for the late response. Yes i have seen that image and well, I can assure you i will never make something that big, unless someone will lend me an old unused aircraft hanger to store my table in . I just thought there might be something interesting about Goblin Town or the torture machines on the DVD, guess ill have to wait until EE. |

Quote: Bilbo Hows the progress on the board and the torture racks? Any pictures yet? I have Both of the Chronicle books. The 1th has more useful information for terrain but the machines are not pictured. I like both books. Painters will find the #2 book the most helpful. I would suggest building your terrain from the concept drawings. It is hard to see any thing in many of the screen shots. There are many drawing of individual props. Great inspiration for modelers. |
