I wanted a piece of impassable terrain to use on game boards and bought Battle Systems Lakes & Bogs set. Didn't punch out the main piece but cut around it to leave more room to build the hedge using my container of mixed clump foliage. The Lake side fits well with their river/road set but wanted the bog side for this project.



Added the hedge around the outside, put a couple of statue pieces on it, and added a path that only Rangers (and maybe Gollum) know about.







The hardest part about building this was waiting for the glue to dry between applications on the clump foliage.

The base looks pretty thin. Did you get any warping from the glue when you added the foliage?

No warping, Battle Systems uses 1/16, 1.6mm cardstock for their products. It holds up well in use and is actually hard to bend.
