I finally came around to start painting my DG Nazgul. I choose the orginal battered metal for the metal parts and a green similar to the original Necromancer. I started with a Slayer of Men: And already added the base and shade for the Witch King The Necromancer lies at a friends place and i just have to pick him up. On FR i ordered the Castellans of DG and hope to receive them at least before the end of the year^^ A more detailed look on my plans for the DG army can be found here ![]() https://castellan-of-the-ring.blogspot. ... ekt-1.html |

They are great miniatures (FW out of my price range sadly), that is what I think the Black Numenoreans should have looked like. Is the "....all hero army..." you mention on your blog a viable force? I have absolutely no knowledge of the newer iterations of SBG |

Yeah the DG Nazgul are really great models! I also only own them because I was lucky and could buy them from the second-hand market. I not quite happy with my photo setup and the paint scheme. so the colors fit but they do not have the effect i hoped for. If the army is good: Well at least they sound awesome^^ I have yet to play them and I do not yet have seen them in use by someone else. The Necromancer is very powerful caster and every DG Nazgul has a special rule. So they are pretty unique. I will use them for the first time this SA. So afterwards I may be able to tell you more ![]() |

They look great, the common colour scheme really ties them together as a coherent force. Nicely done. |

Wow, that is a very thorough and well thought out review of that Legendary Legion and how to use it! Thanks goodness for Google translate! I especially liked your section on the pitfalls of using it, and how to mitigate those problems. Will this be your only army or do you plan to do a good one also for those tournaments that require a good and evil army? Keep us appraised on how you do in tournaments and how you might change your strategy in using this force. |

I did the blog post both in English and German^^ Yeah I really like writing those =D Well I actually started with a Numenor army, so the Dol Guldur LL is my second army. Currently I plan to extend Numenor into a Last Alliance with High Elves. Also started Khand before the price raise this year. And just last week I bought a bundle of the old DeAgostini collection, so now i also have a small Minas Tirith and Isengard army + the metal fellowship xD I will =) |

Apologies for forgetting about your Numenor army, must be getting old(er) ![]() My tablet was having issues going to your blog, first few times it went to your previous entry and then to the German version. No big deal it worked out ok. |
