The elf armour colour works well, nice and bright but enough depth to make it interesting.

Took a Rohan archer; added a Last Alliance Elf bow, extra Theoden head, extra quiver propped up by a twig from the yard.

Doing some conversions on the Fellowship for the Battle in Balin's Tomb game.

Changed Merry and Pippin's sword, gave Aragorn a bow and moved Boromir's shield to the front

And some pictures I took since it was a nice day

Looking good. Much of the Fellowship seems rather ghostly!

Nice work.

The fences on the base look great in particular. Do they provide In The Way rolls when the hobbits are shot at from behind? :)

Who would shoot a Hobbit from behind? Just wanted to make the base a little different.

Those look great. As does Dol Guldur.

As one of the oldest sets of figures in the range, the High Elves get flak from some quarters. But I like 'em, even the plastics (despite the few poses).

Not that a newer set wouldn't be nice....

I really need to start updating this thread more...

Reading the old Fall of the Necromancer scenario book, I finally got out my old GW metal figures that are in this guide and painted them

The White Council

Image

Saruman

Image

Radagast

Image

Galadrial

Image

Cirdan

Image

Elrond

Image

Gandalf

Image

And two elves

Arwen

Image

Thranduil

and as usual, looking at the pictures, I need to work on some of the faces. Tabletop they are fine, camera - not so much.

In this book, there is a scenario with Cirdan and Arwen. Is Cirdan in anyother scenarios?

Nice! I've always preferred the old Radagast figure to the Hobbit-era guy. Same with the old Thranduil, even if the pose is a little static. And you've done a great job with that figure especially.

I just finished my Earnurs, and I'm trying to get some momentum going on my Carn Dum figures in hopes of playing some Rise of Angmar scenarios.

Questions like that were one of the reasons I made SBG Inventory:

Thanks, that is a great resource. I had missed out on the Agmar book so I wasn't aware of those scenarios. Being curious, I looked in the old The Ruin of Arnor sourcebook and found Cirdan in the Defense Of The Grey Havens scenario on page 31.

Made a dent in my Rohan Cavalry, royalty and grey horses. Painted the first batch all grey as I had originally intended for them all to be carrying banners.

Image

Image

I had printed enough banners but will wait and see how they work when (if) I finish the rest of my backlog of Rohan cavalry. I used canvas cloth paper to print the banners on. Linen paper works also and isn't as thick but I like the look of the canvas paper.

Large banner

Banners and converted horn blower

I used the Shield Maiden banner as shown in the War of the Rohirrim for Eowyn

And lastly, the old metal figure of Theoden. I lost the shield along the way and had to boost the rear saddle to get him to sit up straight.

I still have 40+ to do, along with the newer Theoden. Buying all those sets when they were cheap is coming back to bite me when they need to be painted.

Nice work. I like the texturing on the banners. I thought the stickers banners provided in one of the BGiME magazines looked great -- better than I could paint by hand -- but looked a little too sharp. I scanned them and then printed them out on an inkjet that blurred things a bit. But I thought they looked better, and somewhat similar to what you've done.
