Hi All, Is having a whole White Council (Hobbit) army viable these days? Any tactics or strategy for using them? Any tactics or strategy against them? Thanks |

I haven't used them, but I think they're quite powerful if used well and if used against a monster or magic heavy opponent. They would struggle against hordes with few powerful point sink heroes to target. The new Galadriel Lady of Light and Saruman the Wise are both very powerful and work well together - she to block enemy shots, protect the other heroes from enemy magic, and to neutralise enemy wraiths, and he to do basically everything else. Saruman's reroll on casting is very powerful and he's quite undercosted. Being able to take Celeborn, Glorfindel, Thranduil, Legolas, Elrond, or Erestor on top of that as combat heroes gives you lots of muscle. Elrond - with Nature's Wrath being renewable by Fortify Spirit - and Glorfindel with the Armour of Gondolin would have good synergy. I don't know that all 12 would be a viable force, but you could make a very fun 800 pt all hero list from the Galadriel/Saruman core plus some Elven combat heroes. |
