Hey all, I've just been looking over the new profiles for the various Mirkwood elves and I am wondering everyone else's thoughts? Thinking about building a competitive list for Thranduil's halls how do you think they'll compare to the older wood elf armies lists and with the larger meta? I like the heroes, mostly, but the power creep strikes me as a little misplaced theme wise they're all quite strong. I honestly don't know if I could squeeze them into say a 500 point list though. I always find it hard to get a high enough model count with elves and with the Mirkwood armored elves being a bit more expensive then the unarmored free peoples variety, I except it will get tight quickly. Anyways, just figured I start the conversation, as I am excited to start thinking about new lists and playing with the new toys! Cheers all, P |

I'm pretty sure the armoured elves are only one point more. However you'll have the King, or Prince, I wouldn't take both unless it's a large battle, both have different uses after all. With the white council giving new profiles for a few spellcasters, you can get protection from Galadriel, similar to that of the shadow lord. If you're smart/careful about it, you can make quite an elite little force. Those elven glaives are handy too. |
