Hi all

To me, Balin looks awsome compared to a dwarf king. He's 10 points cheaper than a DK with all the same equipment but he's also got 1 more might and will
how is this possible, is balin good or do DK's suck
he seems pretty good to use as a really good captain-style character
does anyone have any good suggestions as to using him?

Thanks in advance =D

Most named characters are a better deal than an equivalent captain, the rationale being you can only take one of the named sort.

None (or at least VERY few) of the Dwarf Heros suck, it's just that Balin is so much better.

Dwarves don't suck at all, they are much better then the most other armies(when played well).

Exactly, the only ones that I would say aren't that great (even though it's only when you compare them to the Twins) are the Hobos.

The Hobos lol, I really like Balin but his one point of Fate and his two Wounds sometimes [word deleted] me off.

Once you give him Durins axe he costs 10pts more for a special rule (and a might point). The reason i make that point is because you are high if you field him without the axe.
