Just starting to try out SBG After playing for quite a while with WOTR, so my question is, I have a used a Misty Mountain army and know how to use this army in WOTR but no idea what's good or bad to play in SBG, So could anyone give me an idea of a decent MM army to field at say a 500 point game. Thanx x

Well with the new SBG army building rules, you will probably need 2-3 Heroes to lead your force. I'd also recommend no more than 2 trolls at that points value. Probably better to stick with one. I don't have the Moria army book and I haven't played with the new army limitations so thats about the extent of my advice.

Durburz is awesome. He has 3 might, good courage and a 12in stand fast. Drums are also a must have (though not at 500, 700 they won't take up as much of your army), the Blackshield's drum is great because you can move and drum at the same time. The blackshields themselves are hard hitters, especially against elves and dwarves, and not too expensive. Cave trolls add some needed hero killing power.

Durburz
Troll + 11 goblins w/shield
195 points

Goblin captain w/ bow
12 prowlers w/ bow
124 points

Goblin shaman
12 goblins w/ spear
105 points

Warg chief
75 points

I might be off by a few points but it's close to 500.
