Hi, After reading (and replying) the Easterling dragon profile, I thought it might be fun to start a topic where you can post created profiles and/or ask to create one. I'll start Skully, Gothmogs luitenant (morannon orc) - 60pts F: 5/4+ S: 5 D: 6 A: 2 W: 2 M: 3 M/W/L 3/1/1 Wargear: 2handed weapon heavy armour Rules: A Siege General Skully is a siege leader, so he knows how to command the engines. When in contact with a mordor catapult, Skully can be used as a siege captain Fire the Catapults! When used as a siege captain, Skully may use a might point to let all catapults fire like they have the 'quick reload' upgrade. |

galadhrim marksman F:5/2+ S:3 D:4 A:2 W:1 C:5 M/1 W/0 F/0 wargear: elven bow, armour, elven cloak, hand weapon special rules: expert shot, woodland creature points: 40 EDIT: points value changed |

IMHO, the marksmen should be worth 40 points at least. Expert shot + only 2+ to hit and and elven cloak is too powerful at 25 points, not to mention, worth at least 20 points by themselves, without counting the models base stats and the might point. |

yes, i'm not very good at working out points costs. i tried to keep it quite low as essentially it is just a galadhrim warrior with better shooting, an extra attack, and a might point; it is still very easy to kill in combat. still, i suppose you are right, so i have changed the points accordingly |

I have a few. So here are some i came up with in the past. My baby dragons, my Lord of Umbar and my Easterling High-Priest. ========================================================= My first ever House Profile. He was made to be one of the seven Lords of Umbar. Ardov the Vicious (Man) -F-S-D-A-W-C--M/W/F----110pts -5-4-5-3--2-6--3-2-2 Wargear Ardov carries a sword and wears sturdy armour. At an aditional cost he may have the following items. Heavy armour--5pts horse---------10pts Special Rules Fear of Our Leader Ardov is a hardened warrior who knows how to use his troops effectively and is quick to lose his temper if his men lose a battle or flee. His men are afraid of the consequences of losing a fight (or battle) in the presence of their Lord and are determined to impress him. To represent this his Stand Fast! is 12"/28cm and all models within 6"/14cm of him recive +1 on their courage value. Decimation (optional special rule-in order to balance out Fear of Our Leader) As a punishment for losing a battle Ardov uses decimation. If a force including Ardov loses a battle and is part of a campaign then remove 1/10th of the defeated force so they cannot fight in the next battle. Ardov the Vicious may be included in an Umbar army ========================================================= My second house profile. With a lot of tweaks and some friendly advice I sorted everything out. I came up with it so that I could use the WHFB baby dragons with my big blue dragon. Young Dragon-------100 points -F----S-D-A-W-C-----M/W/F 5/4+ 5-5-2-3--4------0-1-3 Special Rules Resistant to Magic;Terror: See Main Rules Draconic Charge: Counts as Cavalry. See main Rules. Draconic Bond: Whether newly born or juvenile, Young Dragons are unwilling to fight to the death and are mostly reliant on there mother for food and protection. They will automaticaly flee if their Mother dies (or flees) and must take a courage test if they take a wound. In addition, Young Dragon's may only be included in your force if it includes a full grown Dragon. Wyrms of Legend: Dragons either learn from their parents or are born stronger or more intelligent than the rest of their kin. To represent their variety, a Young Dragon may have up to two of the following abilities at additional cost: Breath Fire------25 points Fly---------------25 points Tough Hide------25 points -Breath Fire: See Khazad-Dum sourcebook. Range 12"/28cm, strength 6 hits. -Fly: The Young Dragon has newly developed wings which can be used for flight. It can fly 12"/28cm. At the begining of the move phase roll a D6 for the Young Dragon. On the roll of a 1 the Young Dragon cannot get airborne and can only move 6"/14cm that turn. -Tough Hide: The Young Dragon was born with a stronger skin than normal, the wounds and defence if this Young Dragon are increased by 1. Young Dragons may be included in a Monsters of Middle-Earth army alongside a Dragon ========================================================= This profile was thought up by me for Queen Beruthiel a few months ago. Ulfang the High Priest (Man)------100 points -F--S-D-A-W-C-----M/W/F 4/- 4-5-1-2--4------3-3*3 Equipment: Battle Stave, Heavy Armour and an Ensorcelled Ring. Special Rules *Ensorcelled Ring: The most loyal of the minions of the Dark Lord are granted gifts for their servitude and devout loyalty. The bearer of the Ensorcelled Ring is granted a formidable ability to wield magic. This grants the wearer one free point of will per turn. However, like all gifts from the Dark Lord, the ring is tainted. If a 1 is rolled when attempting to cast magic the user suffers an automatic S6 hit. (fate points can still be used to attempt to avoid any wounds caused by the hits). Designers Note: The Ensorcelled Ring is subject to the effects of the magic power 'Your Staff is Broken!' in the same way a Staff of Power is. Magical Powers Bladewrath: See Easterling War Priests entry Transfix: Range: 12"/28cm Dice Score: 3+ Compel: Range 12"/28cm Dice Score: 4+ Arcane Bolt: Range:12"/28cm Score: 4+: A lightning bolt of arcane origin shoots from the hands of the Priest. The Arcane Bolt inflicts a single S6 hit against the target. Ulfang may be included in an Easterling army ========================================================= |

Eldarion, son of Elessar 200pts F - 6 S - 4 D - 7 A - 3 W - 3 C - 6 M - 3 W - 3 F - 3 Wargear: Eldarion carries a sword and wears intricate heavy armour. The following may be bought: Anduril - 75pts (if Eldarion bears Anduril, Elessar may not be included in your force) Armoured Horse - 15pts Special Rules: Palantir - Eldarion carries the stone of Orcthance, inherited from his father. Once per game, in the priority phase before players have rolled, Eldarion may claim priority automatically. King of the Reunited Kingdom - Eldarion has a Standfast Range of 12in. Magic: Nature's Wrath, 5+ Transfix, 5+ |

I like that Eldarion profile! Powerful but not over done. I like that he can cast magic, but it's hard for him to do so. Also like the Ulfang profile, but 3 wounds, might and fate seem a lot. What about 2 wounds, might and fate, but 4 will ( plus the free point)? Instead of an automatic wound from the ring, maybe a S6 hit? |

Thanks for the advice whafrog, I always appreciate your help. I'll keep him at 3/3*/3, reduce his wounds by one and lessen the effects of the ring to a S6 hit. In fact, when I get home from my holiday I'll playtest both versions the profile against 100pts of my goblins and then against 100pts of elves and see which one handles better. If having three wounds makes him far too survivable (or theur is almost no difference between 3 and 2) then I'll reduce it to 2 wounds. Lastly I'll experiment with giving him an extra point of will. It'll be a total of 6 matches, 3 vs.Elves, 3 vs.Goblins. EDIT: Taken Whafrogs advice and replace auto-wounding with auto S6 hits. |

btw i´ve used Ulfang for a few games, He`s pretty good but one funny thing is that in the first game he lost two wounds to the enscorcelled ring. |

Ah....... well then, since I did make the profile for you I will drop the auto wounding and exchange it for a S6 hit. That means only 6 playtest games for me. |

IMO it`s not that extreme, it`s that what let him cost 10 pts more then a regular MO capt with a 2handed. I know, but I`ve seen Skuly always as more then a normal MO cap, so I created this one @ The dragon of moria: cool profiles, they're very well-thought |

Yeah, magic for Theoden doesn't really work. A Special Rule would be better. |
