Post subject: | 3rd hero for mordor |
Hi there I'm working on a mordor list, I got the troops ironed out, but I can't decide on my 2rd hero.I have a mounted shadowlord for obvious reasons, a black numenorean marshal with a shield 'cos I like the backround about black numenoreans and the fact that he is dead reliable, high Fv,courage and defence. My third hero? A 1. shaman, 2.Kardush(a souped up shaman) or 3.a mean a$$ Black Guard capt, seeing as I have a lot of Black Guard The troops include are these 32 orc warriors--22 spears, 10 spear+shield-202p 5 Black Numenorean warriors-45p 9 Black Guard-108p 5 Morgul knights-100p Any ideas? |

I tend to do half-half for shield/spears. Meaning, you have front line guys who are one point cheaper because they don't pay for spears, and rear row guys who do pay for spears, so you'd have a 50/50% spread of shieldsmen and backrow spearmen. This way you can scrounge up some points for a couple more orcs, no? |

I'd take a Shaman or Kardush (I haven't tried him out yet, but the rules look effective). Keeping those Orcs in line will be essential, because your numbers aren't great at your point level (~650 or so?) |

the army is at 700p Shadowlord-horse-130p Black Numenorean mashal-shield-65p 32 orc warriors--22 spears, 10 spear+shield-202p 5 Black Numenorean warriors-45p 9 Black Guard-108p 5 Morgul knights-100p I buy more spears so that I have more spears for a second row behind the Black guard and the Black numenoreans, the rest of the orcs will be in front to catch any lucky arrows that do hit. |
