What is so special about the morgul stalkers or are they there just because GW ran out of Ideas? |

I think the best part of a mordor army is how you play with it. What my I think is good about it is the trackers, lots of numbers a troll and lots of might. Also, morgul stalkers are good because of the C3 and 2 attacks. |

That is good as C3 is quite rare in a mordor force, but with the inclusion of the new drummer troll, it will increase the stalker's C to 4 and all orcs to 3. In addition, standard Gondor and Rohan troops will have a penalty of -1C decreasing it to 2. Then who will be laughing!!! |

its gotta be numbers without em you loose a good spread of heros and might is important but not as important as loads and loads and loads and loads of soldiers! |
Me, I'll be getting Black numenorians for those C2 troops!
I am way ahead of you - I have already made an advance order on 2 packs of black numenoreans, a plastic troll and a taskmaster and drummer blister. The troll drummer, gothmog (mounted tends to be better) and a taskmaster are the best three Mordor trio you can get. If you know the rules for those 3 characters then you'll understand what i mean |

Actually the new nazgul. Also Shagrat war leader is good, knocked down. |

I forgot to mention that i have also made an order on shagrat. I got him mainly because he looks cool but also because he has the ability to knock down enemy cavalry. Very unrealistic that a rampaging uruk with a shield could knock down a knight of dol amroth or something like that but hey, what you gonna do, he is going to win me a few games and for 110 points, he is not that expensive |

Nonsense! he has much more than double the ability. His stats are better than Gothmog - and he's a mountrous mount so in my opinion he's stronger than Gothmog for 40pts less. For the 40 points you could buy an orc drum and move 9" too. Gothmog's copy might rule is useless as noone is dumb enough to do a heroic action so close to him. In 2 years I think I've used Gothmog's special ability twice. |

I mean that Shagrat is not that expensive compared to top notch good heroes but can still get the better of them as well as plough his way through a Dol Amroth charge As for Gothmog, I only find his special rule useful when he is mounted as it stops the good side's warriors from calling heroic actions in order to prevent mounted gothmog charging |

By the wya have you noticed that you can choose Do you want to field Shagrat the War leadre Or Do you want to Field Gorbag and Shagrat the captain of Cirith Ungol.. Kinda odd... On the one hand you get a real killing machin... On the other you get 6 might and 2 captains... Hmm interesting choise I might add... |

You have made a really good point With 6 might points (2 times the amount of Shagrat, war leader) you could take on Boromir, captain of the white tower or even king aragorn Then again, with the knock down ability, Shagrat war leader could get 6 S5 attacks if he wins a combat. Gorbag and shagrat between them would only get 4 S4 attacks if they win. Unless, the enemy is trapped. Then it is a different story... |

Not true----- 2x S4 & 2x S5 So it really coms down to the choise: Do you want to be a hero heavy dude or do you want to make you life harder and use tactics with might to win your enemy The Choise is Yours... |

I disagree Ebob. That is exactly the point! you but him next to aragon and watch the good player stew because he can't call heroic moves! it's not that the ability gets used it's that it stops people using there might for heroic actions |
